How HOLD protects your information

Last updated: 2026-07-16

HOLD uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your personal information. This page explains, in plain English, how your information is protected.

Encrypted connections

Your data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. All communication between your device and our servers is protected with TLS.

Secure sign-in

Authentication is managed by a dedicated provider. We do not store your password. Sessions are validated on every request through server-side authorisation.

Private by default

Your data is private by default. Nothing is shared with other users unless you explicitly choose to share it. Adding a household member does not share your data.

Shared only with people you choose

You decide what each household member can see - payments, documents, mortgage details or limited information only. Permissions can be changed or revoked at any time.

What HOLD does

HOLD uses secure authentication. Data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Private records are protected by account and access controls. Shared information is limited by user permissions. Uploaded files are restricted to authorised users.

HOLD does not ask for your online banking password. You should use a strong, unique password and keep control of your email account and device.

Stored data

Your data is stored using cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Access to stored data is restricted to your authenticated account and members you have explicitly granted access to.

What HOLD does not claim

  • -HOLD does not currently offer two-factor authentication (2FA).
  • -HOLD does not currently offer biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID) for sign-in.
  • -HOLD does not use end-to-end encryption. Platform administrators can access data if required for service operations.
  • -HOLD has not undergone independent penetration testing.

Responsible disclosure

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability or have a security concern, we encourage you to report it to us. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

Please do not include sensitive personal data unnecessarily in your report. Do not include passwords, card numbers or banking details.
